Bond It FS4 Fireshield AC is a high performance, flexible acrylic intumescent acoustic sealant, which in the event of a fire, will swell to provide an inert barrier to smoke and flames. It has non-slumping and rapid skinning properties. Up to 4 hour fire rating achievable.  Note: The fire resistance achievable with Fireshield AC depends upon the joint design, depth of sealant and substrates being sealed.

Uses

Bond It FS4 Fireshield AC is specially manufactured to form an acoustic and fire rated intumescent barrier in construction applications.
Suitable for sealing interior linear joints in floors, ceilings, dry lining systems partition walls, plasterboard and suspended ceilings
in interior situations.  suitable for penetration seals with steel and copper pipes through plasterboard. See test reports to see
suitable approved substrates. When it is subjected to heat, Bond It Fireshield AC swells (intumesces) to provide an inert barrier to smoke and flame. The fire resistance achievable with Bond It Fireshield AC depends upon the joint design, depth of sealant and substrates being sealed. Details of fire testing are available on request. It is non-slumping and rapid skinning. It can also be overpainted within 1 hour.
